Have you got any type of vents in the basement? you could fit your extraction fan to one of those.

Are you able to vent through the door?

You need more than a few hours ventilation a day, a constant air flow is needed if you want to avoid mould and fungus problems, especially during the flowering stage. Can you cut some holes in the door to allow for some ducting and a vent? The ducting is extend either the inlet or exhaust vent away from the door (on both sides) and ensure that you don't draw the used air back through the system. If you are in a rental house or it is an expensive door get a cheap second hand replacement door, fit it and cut the vent holes in that.

Hi Guys,

Tom is spot on there !
I would do exactly that - change the door, mount the inlet on the bottom of the door and the exhaust on the top section (try and get the exhaust to the outside with a vent pipe !).

Hi Ice,

I had a similar roblemo in a spare room that had a plaster roof, I cut a hole in and their was just enough space to place ducting and the smallest carbon filter I could find so the neighbours could not get a fresh smell of my lil girls.

I am not aware of how roof's are built in basements?

Cheers bro.
