Hi All
Sorry for the delay.
The builders are here at the moment so its hard to get any work done. The board is about 33% complete now and if I get time today I should be able to get to 50%.
The total componet cost is about £50.00, to get a light of this output commercially would cost about £300.00.
I will try and post some updates later today.

I'm definitely going to be getting a couple 14w kits to help fill out the canopy of my ladies next go around, I'm convinced.

Ill be the 1st to admit, when useing floro's correctly the density of the nuggs Is ridiculous. I have had better success with them over hps.
Do you have any more pics of ur lights?
Have you grown anything other then Lowriders under floro's?
Looks Great!

I am back - tired, frustrated, and finally sucessfull
OK, its been some time but I really could'nt write sooner.
Firstly a few weeks back I got a call from a neigbour, she said that there was a drugs bust going on in the area. The house they raided that had 200 plants was less than 50 metres from house. I did break out in a bit of a sweat but all was well, just parinoid. The guys that got busted did the usual thing and bypassed the electrical meter, perhaps they should have tried LEDs and CFs !!
Any way back to the LED lights.
I was really struggling with the initial design, the problem is there are just too many solder joints on a compact board. Construction starts off OK, but after about 4 joints you are knackerd as the soldering gets more complex and you spend more time troubleshooting than building. I tried building the unit again, to the same design, and confirmed the design is no good for home stone construction.
This was a problem, I has started something I could not finish, I wanted more LED power and even started this thread, what a pratt, I thought about it day and night over many joints.
The problems that were stopping me were.
1. Its a big job.
2. I am always stonned (not really a problem).
3. As more LEDS and resistors go on it gets gets more and more complex.
4. I was always fixing a problem instead of moving on.
In the end, after much smoking the answer was simple, well keeping it simple.
We can all make a neat and simple 4 LED light, with a resistor going to a power source (see daughter board pictures), so I adopted a mother and daughter board construction system. The red and blue daughter boards have the power feed (via the resisors) going to a different "leg" which then neatly connects to the motherboard. The mother boards have 3 connections, negitive, red, and blue (I wanted them seperate so I could experiment later).
The new construction method is so simple, it will mean making the box side lights will be fast with interchagable daughter boards. If LEDs blow then it should be simple to change them.
The final light design is 2 seperate boards with a total of 192 high effeciency LEDS, all bang on the right frequencys. The daughter boards are mounted at 90 degress to the mother board which just serves to deliver power to the seperate clusters. As mentioned perviously the lights are powered from standard current limited 12 volt bench power supplies.
