wow so why the hell cant we still grow, it didnt do any harm before, and hemp has no where near the toxicity of all that other shit out there....idk i think that if the US(fucking assholes) did legalize...we would benefit so damn much from the taxes that there wouldnt be a national debt anymore...probably wont happen but whatev im still gonna grow and smoke.

Besides the protection of Dupont (Inventors of Nylon, Rayon...) there was a raceist componant to the governments attack on MJ. Black people and Mexican migrant workers used MJ alot in ther early years of the industrial revolution. There was a great fear of "Dangerous Minoraties" hopped up on weed going on killing and raping sprees. All very trumped up to make people fear pot. William Randolf Herst used millions of gallons of ink on sensational anti weed stories in his newspapers to fuel the hysteria.

Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, and Washington were hemp farmers.
Washington's diary (available at the library of congress website) entails water curing and separating 'ewes' from 'rams' which is not needed for growing hemp.
