CANNABIS FACTS
Cannabis Sativa has been farmed since the neo-lithic era in China, Mesopotamia, Egypt and Ancient Greece. The oldest finding of cannabis cloth was found in Katal Houjouk (Mesoptamia) dated at 8,000 bC.

The Declaration of Independence was written on cannabis paper and so was the first Bible.

The Romans invaded Mesopotamia to exploit its vast hemp agriculture and controlled its market.

Georgio Armani has invested in a hemp textile farm in S. Italy.

All Addidas canvas shoes are from hemp textile (hypo-allergic).

Until the introduction of the Euro, French money was printed on cannabis paper.

In East block Germany, cannabis farming was a means of countering unemployment.

BMW & Merceded have replaced fibreglass with hemp fibre.

Ford has already created an 'organic car' made from fibres of cannabis and other plants.

The first Levi jeans were from cannabis cloth.

During WW2 all the army supplies (paraschutes, tents, backpacks, flags, uniforms) were from cannabis cloth.

Napoleon invaded Russia in 1812 so as to stop their hemp trade with the British Navy.

Until the 1800, hemp seed oil was the largest source of lamp oil. It was replaced with petroleum derivatives. Also 70% 0f paper worldwide was from hemp fibre.

Likewise, for thousands of years, where hemp seed oil was used in all paints and varnishes, it was replaced with petroleum derivatives.

Worldwide, 10,9 million acres of Cannabis Sativa was grown annually!! for its fibre. In the five years after ww2 it dwindled down to 1,5 mil acres.

Cannabis fibre does not rot when it comes into contact with water, has strong resistance to micro-organisms and does not mould, hence its importance in maritime use for ship sails.

Cannabis fibre has thermo and sound-proofing qualities for use in building construction.

The strong natural fibres are suited to cloth manufacture, plastic and even explosives.

Cannabis produces 4 times more fibre per acre than wood or cotton and is has no toxicity.

Today the EU funds cannabis farming & derivative manufacture, only with particular strains of the plant with THC levels less than 0.2%.

We all know what the present situation is.
The Amazon rainforests has been depleted. Life in the Amazon river is no more. Precious topsoil is washed into the sea. We're doomed..
All for the sake of financial interest and a so called war on drugs..
Cannabis Sativa was simply a huge antagonist and therefore a threat to the rising wood-pulp and petrolium industry.

I rest my case.
