Termites are in the soil again and my plants are already to far along to dig them up.
Anyone know a tried and true, tested with positive results way to get rid of these little demons?
They destroyed my garden last year, left the tomatoes, peppers, squash alone but ate the roots off my MMJ plants.
I did some work to fix the problem, dug out the trees, roots and changed out the top soil, even planted in mounds with minimul watering to keep moisture low.
I am screwed again if I can't find a way to get rid of them.
I have heard of a pestiside no longer available in Calif.
Anyone have info?

Well-- 1st-- find some NEEM and read the lable to see if that brand (strength) will do-in termites... I THINK that Azatrol would work-- it is a really strong NEEM derivative that is organic....

Pyrethrin may be an option as well... morst "organic" pest control for the veggie garden is made of this-- again-- read the lable to see if it lists termites!

Bayer makes an outdoor "Fruit , vegetable and citrus insect control" spray-- it works-- and should be OK, as long as it is NOT a systemic chemical... read the label, it should say...

Whatever you use---water the plants a bit so the surrounding soil is wet...then douse the ground around the plant with your pest control of choice.

That should do it!!

And do NOT use woodchips as mulch in tha area for a couple years, or the lil bastards will come back.
