Is it ALL about genetics?

Aside from optimal growing conditions throughout the process, are there any ways to improve the overall quality (aroma, smoothness and flavour) of your bud? Regardless of strain?

I've read that a slow cure is key and that organics provide a smoother smoke and I'm wondering if you guys would agree.

Any thoughts?

I've learned a great deal from this community and I'm enjoying my second round of BubbleGum (thanks Planet Skunk) and was wondering if I'm missing anything in optimizing my experience.

There are some nutrients out there that are supposed to enhanse oil production wich will effect flavor. I just picked up some Advanced Nutrients Bud Factor X Pretty spend tho $90.00 US per liter. I will be updating my thread when I am not so stoned .

But ya to answer your question with genetics good Nutes, a good flush at the end ( I flush 2 weeks), a good dry and cure you really can't go wrong.

On a side note I have smoked bud that has had flavor added nutes and it is nasty I don't recomend them.

I think it depends on what method U are growing. IMO
As far as taste I think the soil has it.
Speed and size= hydro
both have kick . just MO

The cure IMO is one of the more overlooked practice for good tasting weed.
To fast = a hay or straw like taste. To long a moldy taste.

We do exclusively hydro-- did do a side by side soil-to-hydro--- then never went back to dirt.

I believe it is genetics, Conditions, curing/drying, AND what nutes you use.

IMO-- especially in hydro---If you "skimp" and go bare bones with as few products as you can, you get wimpy weed... added nutrients, amino acids, carbs, etc... make a difference.

We Use 3-part Ionics, Dark Energy, Superthrive, Green fuse, Nitrozyme, Cha-Ching and Earth-Juice Micro blast IF needed.

Consider that soil has a lot of beneficials in it that hydro does not... you have to add in good stuff to get OUT good stuff!!
