We feel the need for a list of rules/guidelines to keep the site from
Falling apart, becoming total chaos, or turning into a School-yard Brawl.
Please read and try to follow the. While we DO have a lot of tolerance, those who
refuse to follow these few guidelines WILL be "shown to the door".

#1-- No Spamming! This is strictly enforced, and not only includes personal
Sales/solicitations, (for a site, your own weed, seeds, bongs whatever)
but ALSO includes sending members to other seed banks by
Posting recommendations with a link ON the boards.
What you do between yourselves in PM's does not count as Spam,
Unless you start PMing Members with info without them asking you to.
Links to Planet Skunks sponcer sites does not count as Spam.



#2-- DO NOT ask for free seeds or Weed on these boards! This is a seed
bank, and grower's forum,
It is NOT a charity or Dealers board. It is ok to OFFER free seeds or
"samples" to someone
thru PM's between yourselves... but KEEP it between yourselves!
Please keep in mind...you only know as much about the person as what
they tell you..
Any personal interactions off the board is at YOUR OWN RISK, and any
consequences are
NOT the responsibility of Planet Skunk.



#3--DO NOT Ask members for personal information (Names, addresses) unless they
have allready asked you to contact them for it...
then do so in PM's--NOT on the board!

Giving OUT personal information is at your own risk,
and Planet Skunk is NOT responsible in ANY WAY for any actions
resulting from personal contact!

IF you decide to have interactions or trades thru PM's, ANYTHING that results from it
(good weed, bad weed, more seeds less seeds, not what you asked for etc..)
IS NOT TO BE MENTIONED OR DISCUSSED ON THE BOARD!
You make the choice to buy, sell, trade-- it's soley between you and the other person,
and it has NOTHING to do with Planet Skunk, The boards, other members or Mods.
Using the boards to thank, complain, ask where it is etc... will be deleted,
and the member warned-- but further discussion will be grounds for being banned.



#4--- Treat ALL Members equally, regardless of their "ratings" or how long
they have been a Member! The Ranks are "just for fun" and have no
bearing on a persons level or growing or ability....
and how long they have been a member is irrelevant--
We get many "Newbies" that ar Veteran growers or breeders--
as well as New and inexperienced growers who are here to LEARN!
Giving people a hard-time just for being new will NOT be tolerated!
IF you feel someone is repeating questions, or askin questions
allready addressed in the forums, Direct them to the info- or
contact a Mod.



#5--- NEW GROWERS OR THOSE WITH PLANT PROBLEMS:
We all have those moments of "panic" when we see that our plants have a problem,
or we do not know what to do in a given situation....
BUT: Most of our boards have FAQ or Help pages called "Stickies" that appear at the top..
BEFORE YOU POST: Please read the Stickies-especailly those at the beginners board,
And look through some of the more recent posts on the board that would most-likely apply to
your question BEFORE YOU POST A QUESTION!
And Please... while our Mods are here to help--
do NOT post all your questions to JUST the Mods, or PM the Mods until you have
Posted your question and waited for Member responses.
We have MANY Gifted veteran growers as Members, and you will most often get
more help FASTER on the boards than in PM's.



#6-- Joking and FRIENDLY name calling is accepted and welcome!!!
But the over-use of profanity, hateful/offensive/abusive behavior, Yelling, Flaming, Threats,
calling names, or obvious "juvenile" behavior will NOT be tolerated.
When a fight starts on a board, those involved WILL be PM'd by the mods if the
behavior is considered to be harsh enough to be "against the rules".
This is an Adult board, and while disagreements and debates are expected...
the degree to which it is carried and the maturity level used is expected to reflect
the "over 18" age requirement of the boards.



#7--If you do not have a legitimate comment, question etc.... don't post..

In The Coffee shop it is WAY more leniant-
BUT making a post with just a smiley, one word, or some odd statement with no meaning to anyone but you IS NOT a legitimate post- and will get locked.




#8--PM means "Personal message"... so if a question or comment is personal, or the Mod/Member you are writing to is a friend. then by all means, use the PM's to contact them-- but PLEASE DON'T use PM's for things that can be handled on the boards!!!

Please do not treat Mods like personal trianers... they are here to help you, but do not have the time to "walk" people thru their grows!
The Mods areoften innundated by PM's asking "Tell me how to grow" or "what all do I need to buy?" or even "Why haven't you looked at my Post yet?"

Mods have more to do than just answer PM's--
they Mod the boards, try to Help people with plant issues on the boards, as well as try to get the time to Post about their own grows... And they DO have a life "in the real world"... so are not here 24-7!
So Be patient, and use some common sence and consideration when using the PM's for communicaring with others.



#9--No Pornography!
A little T & A is fun and all... but keep it from becomming too graphic!
Open Crotch-shots, Male Genetals, Sex-acts, and pornographicly descriptive
posts are a no-no! We have people of all backgrounds,
Male and Female here- so lets keep it rated "R" Please!




#10-- No Hijacking or Double posting!!!

When you reply to someones post, ading details about your own grow to help them or if asked is great... taking over their post, or asking your own questions on someone elses post is HIJACKING----

Posting the same question more than ONE TIME or on multiple boards in order to try for more answers is DOUBLE POSTING...

PLEASE! Don't do Either One!

Just Some reminders....

Please secure your account information, and do NOT let others use your account. You will be held personally responcible for anything someone else does under your account name.


While we all realize that people here at Planet Skunk
come from all countries and all walks of life; all members are
expected to at least try write as coherantly as possible using
the english language.

are NOT acceptable means of communicationg here, so please save them

The advice given on the boards comes from growers of all levels of ability & expertise...
from long-term Veterans to new growers passing on their newly-learned info.
And because this IS a Public board, and ANYONE can join/post....
DO NOT ACCEPT ALL INFORMATION AS FACT!
When given advice, be prepared for whatever consequence...
good or bad...may come of following that advice.
Planet Skunk, It's Owner and Moderators are in NO WAY responsible for any
Damage to your grow, equipment, property or injuries that may occur from advice taken from the board.
Consider the source when taking advice, and wait for More than one opinion before
trying something you've not done before!


BANNING POLICY: "If a Member breaks the rules, they will be reminded by The Mods, either on the board or by way of PM.
IF a Member has to be PM'd by the Mods due to their behavior on a repeated basis,
the Mods will discuss That persons behavior and IF they feel it is an issue,
and the member does not correct/control their behavior once they have been warned;
it is at the discressions of the Moderators and Sir Skunk whether or not that person be banned."

Otherwise, the Mods often need to PM members as opposed to contacting them publicly... this lets you know when you have a Private message waiting!
