ready to start my first grow. a few words of advice?
Alright, got some money and about to move into and appt with a buddy who is getting his green card making it legal for us to grow here in the lovely state of WA. Extra bathroom is going to be the grow area. Ive done all my research and imagine the space like this: I plan to buy a small grow tent for flowering, roughly 3x3x5 maybe a little smaller and build a cabinet from wood for vegging that will sit in the bath tub Im looking at getting a 600w light for each space MH for the vegging and HPS for the flowering.
My questions: I have the money, would it be worth it to go for two 1000w light systems in each space or would that be overkill?
A friend suggested LED lighting. It sounds appealing in the fact that it uses a lesser wattage for a higher amount of lumens, but I was wondering if anyone had any experince with these lights? from all my research It looks like MH and HPS are the tried and true favorties.
Lastly can anyone suggest a durable grow tent? i dont want to end up with some piece of crap

A 1000 IMO would be overkill for that space for two areas . IMO 400w veg (for ur area) and 600-1000 (watch heat) for flower area.
HID grow faster and more intense weed than LED (for the cost IMO). LED are a new and gaining advantages everyday, but still lacks in intensity (to me).
Peace
