 security advise re heat seaking devices Got some loft space, but completely paranoid about some heat seeking helicopter or such like. Newbee by the way, got the kit got the space. So lets say.1000 Watts in a loft, I KNOW. But its all i got. Would a double layer of insulation be enough? Would hate to get busted for something that i have smoked for 40 odd years, with no ill affect. What ever happened to all the Hippies, knew how to keep prices down. Seriously.The only thing stopping me is security.

Re: security advise re heat seaking devices I see you investing in a lot of panda film, ya dig. You may wanna line your loft ceiling and walls with it with the white side showing(panda is black on one side white on the other). Other than that, try to keep it as cool as you can up there. Depending on where you live; you wouldn't want "folks" wondering why your house ain't got no snow on the roof like everybody else's...

Re: security advise re heat seaking devices Basement is the only secure area. If you heatproof your room then it will be cooler on the heatcam when the lights are turned off. Watch "Barry Cooper's Never Get Busted Again" vol.2 "Never Get Raided" It's well explained there.

Re: security advise re heat seaking devices i use ir blocker,,,, thanks ohio for the referal, and air cooled lights. its 74 in my room and the hot air vent passes by the ac and dumps out into the rest of the attic were its mixed with cool air and allowed to vent freely out open window 20 feet away from vent. my room is sealed with ir blocker. sorry gotta go mrs thug and i were hit in the side of our trucj=k by a kid who ran a red light. just got home from hospital gotta go to hand surgeon........... truck flipped twice and slid 20 foot on its roof. ouch....
